This is how it works...Politicians start the wars, officers plan the wars, leaving up to the soldiers to fight them. In the end, the citizens are left to rebuild.

Customer Service and Sales

I was always taught that good customer service meant good sales. I believe that is true. As some of you know, we have been looking for a boat. We have been to 5 dealers and made inquires about their boats and why we should but from them. I guess I should really say 6 dealers. The sixth one did not do so well in customer service, in fact, they let me roam around the showroom for 10-15 minutes and no one spoke. How does Performance Marine of Nashville expect to sell any boats? One guy never moved from his desk. Three guys were polishing boats. And, another never moved from behind his counter. I got perturbed and left.



Being the way I am, after I left the store, I called Performance Marine and told them what had happened. The manager apologized. I told him to have a good day and hung up. Thirty minutes later, I got a call from Performance Marine inviting me back to their dealership to look at their boats. I told them that I was pressed for time, I actually was, and that I would come back if I had the time. I was asked back whenever I could. Poor Performance Marine. We found the perfect boat for us and it wasn't at Performance Marine.

The way the economy is, sales people need to go that extra mile when it comes to selling their merchandise. I hope Performance Marine learns this.

Politics sucks

I guess I've not posted recently might be attributed to the total amount of bullshit flying around Washington. I'll have to some up with something else.

Dems bow down to Limbaugh

OMG! IT IS true. The Democrats have apologized to Limbaugh over a web page that made fun of him. What is politics coming to in this country? I'm to flabbergasted to say more.

Michael Steele. What a wimp!

So, Michael Steele wants to be the leader of the Republican National Committee! What a wimp! Mr Steele I cannot believe that you were elected as chairman of the RNC. Why did you back down from loud mouth Rush Limbaugh? How can you defend the Republican parties mission if you cannot stand up to your own membership?

The RNC needs to sit down and rethink it's purpose from the top down. As long as Rush Limbaugh is allowed to control the air waves with is inflammatory message, the Republican party will be stuck in the shadow of the the Democratic party. The Republican needs to look at itself and get rid of the flotsam and work to return to it's conservative base without Rush Limbaugh.

Being a Republican sucks!!

I have discovered that being a Republican sucks. Do you want to know why? Of course, you want to know why. Two words...Rush Limbaugh. What a fat, overpaid, loud mouthed jerk! Rush Limbaugh does not represent my Republican party. He is not the leader, I say that loosely, that the party needs. I had rather pick back up with George Bush than have to settle for any possible leadership headed by Limbaugh.

Help me...

I was watching the news yesterday and a 'guest' was complaining about not being able to pay their mortgage. I empathize with them and their difficulty. There are tens of thousands of Americans who are in the same boat. Fortunately, and so far, my family is not in that boat. We bought a home by being smart about borrowing the money. It is not that I am so savvy. We got lucky.

I am talking about this one 'guest' who was having a hard time making the payments on her 2 homes and that her and her husband had lost their jobs. She was wanting help to pay for her two mortgages. I'm sorry. It sounds like you were a little irresponsible in your money spending. Irresponsible people do not need bailed out. What they need is taken down a notch to learn fiscal responsibility.

If we are going to help people, then we need to help those who really need it.
