Why Obama?

I can understand the many reasons for voting for Obama. I think that we just need to come to grips on just why. White folks are voting for Obama because he is the Democratic candidate or because they feel that he has the better plan than the Republicans. None have said they are voting for him based on his race. Why are Blacks voting for him? I have seen it many times on television that they are voting for him because he represents the future or because of his historical significance of his running. In other words, it sounds like they are voting for Obama just because he is race and not because of his stance on the issues.

What gives? What is the real reason to vote for Obama? I certainly hope that it isn't just because he is Black. That would be doing a great harm to the Afro-American citizenry and to the nation as a whole. Elections are about change, not race. Make the right decision when voting for President. It's about issues, not race.
